New SMA Research Grant named in honour of Prof Mick Aston
The Society is pleased to announce the establishment of a new research grant named in honour of the late Professor Mick Aston, which will support research in one of his main areas of research interest. Professor Aston left a bequest to the Society in his will and the Council of the Society have decided to create this grant in his honour in addition to the other long-standing funds the Society administers – the Eric Fletcher Fund, the Sudreys Fund and the Medieval Archaeology Research Grant. The deadline for applications to these three funds is January 31st, while the deadline for the Mick Aston Research Grant is May 31st. More information and application forms may be found here.
